Erika Bannerman joins the Board at the Workforce Development Trust

We are delighted to announce and welcome the appointment of Erika Bannerman as a Trustee and Non-Executive Director of our board at The Workforce Development Trust group, incorporating Skills for Health, Skills for Justice, People 1st International and SFJ Awards.

As a not-for-profit organisation committed to the development of an improved and sustainable workforce across the UK, our board is comprised of members who come from a broad spectrum of public sector organisations, who come together to inform, set out and direct our strategy to achieve this.

An experienced CEO, Non-Executive Director, Chair and Advisor, serving on a mix of Public, Private and FTSE boards; Government Joint Ventures and Committees, Erika has a broad range of experience. Following a successful career in senior leadership roles with Capita and the Manpower Group, Erika has most recently become Managing Director of NHS Shared Business Services (SBS), a joint venture established by the Department of Health and Social Care with Sopra Steria.

Erika’s role at NHS SBS is to harness the organisation’s great people and technology strengths to deliver its purpose: ‘helping the NHS to save money and enhance quality so that the NHS can improve health, innovate to save lives, and deliver better outcomes with care and compassion.’

Erika says: “Now more than ever, we need to focus on how to build skills and develop the workforce of the future.
