New Executive Assistant qualification launched by SFJ Awards
Leading awarding body and qualification development experts SFJ Awards have launched a new Level 3 Award in Professional Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant and Administration Skills.
This new qualification, which went live on 1 November, aims to provide learners with a comprehensive skillset and knowledge base essential for success in administrative and executive support roles. Covering a wide range of critical topics, this qualification prepares learners to meet the evolving demands of these roles and equips them for the challenges they may face throughout their careers.
Depending on the optional units selected, learners will study a variety of topics, including:
- Business writing principles
- Workload management
- Event coordination
- Persuasion
- Influence techniques.
In developing this qualification, expertise was drawn on from a working group of key contacts from the sector, including Lindsay Taylor of Your Excellency and Adam Fidler, from Adam Fidler Academy.
Commenting on being involved in the development of this qualification, Lindsay said:
“As an industry expert supporting the EA, PA and Administrative professional, it has been a pleasure to work with SFJ Awards to develop this new qualification.
“The qualification is a robust and comprehensive programme. It reflects the breadth of skills and knowledge needed by administrative and executive support professionals to excel in their roles.
“Your Excellency are proud to be an SFJ Awards accredited centre delivering this qualification. We are confident the range of learning topics will ensure a new generation of high performing administrative and executive support professionals.”
Adam added:
“The revised SFJ Awards Level 3 Award in Professional PA, EA and Administration Skills is the absolute must-do qualification for those wanting to succeed as a modern EA or PA.
“Adam Fidler Academy has worked with SFJ Awards to fine-tune the existing Level 3 qualification to ensure it’s even more fit for purpose and covers not only the foundation skills of being an effective EA, but also the knowledge and disciplines required to excel through a broader understanding of the commercial world. In particular, the new unit on Legal and Governance allows EAs to appreciate how their roles offer wider impact, above and beyond administration.
“I’m delighted to have been part of this journey, ensuring that there remains a highly relevant and bespoke qualification for those in the EA profession.”
