SFJ Awards colleagues attend the Inspire Justice Awards 2024
The Inspire Justice Awards is an annual awards scheme that SFJ Awards have proudly sponsored for the past three years. As a leading End-Point Assessment Organisation, specialising in developing and conducting apprenticeship assessments for the protective services, we were immensely proud to sponsor the Apprentice of the Year category this year.
At the ceremony, which took place on Thursday 12 September in London, we found out that Jack Bloomfield, an incredible Contact Handler apprentice from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, was crowned Apprentice of the Year.
Jack was nominated for utilising his skills and knowledge to create a “journey of the call” spreadsheet, which enabled both his supervisors and the Quality Assurance team to enter all call audits for the department, break down the information and identify trends. This project taken on by Jack shows his willingness to go far above and beyond what is expected of him, especially while still training as an apprentice. It was phenomenal to hear about Jack’s achievements during his apprenticeship.
The highly commended runner up in the Apprentice of the Year category was Chloe Tennant, a Call Handler from Thames Valley Police. Chloe was described as proactive in her development, consistently documenting her progress. Despite personal disabilities, Chloe works diligently every shift to overcome these challenges.
Kathryn Broadbent, Head of Customer and Commercial Engagement, attended the awards and says:

“SFJ Awards sponsored the Apprentice of the Year category, and it was great to see the winning apprentice take the stage. It was an honour to be part of a ceremony that saw peers in the justice sector nominating and recognising colleagues that provide integral services – services that society can’t do without.
“The keynote speaker James Crystal was truly inspirational. A fantastic event and a fantastic day.”
Chelsea Littleton-Harper, Product Development Assistant Manager, also enjoyed the day. Reflecting on her experience, she said:

“Attending as part of SFJ Awards, it was a privilege to see our sponsored Apprentice of the Year award presented to two incredible finalists. Being part of a team that works on apprenticeship assessments, it was amazing to witness first-hand how the resources we develop play a larger role in the sector, and the butterfly effect this has on the lives that the apprentices then go on to touch.
